Core Values…gotta get some today!

 November 2015 Insights

Hard to believe the end of the year is near and the advent of the holiday season is upon us. Perfect time to return back to the practice of aligning with our core values and revisit the Values Clarification exercise, an instrumental and worthy coaching tool that further expands on last month’s Keys To Success Insights; the importance of knowing what in life really matters the most to us. Whether it be due to your busy and hectic lifestyles or falling prey to living by other peoples priorities, it is not uncommon to lose sight of how to put your best effort into those areas that will have the greatest impact in YOUR life. Our Children Are Growing….Are We?

September 2015 Insights

Funny after a certain age, investment in our self-growth seems to taper off.  We get so busy with our lives; attending to others, our “jobs”, upkeep of our homes & finances, that we forget that success is really just the byproduct of living our lives to the fullest so that we can continue to expand upon the best we can be! What Does Spirituality Mean To You?

 June 2015 Insights

I’ve intentional stayed away from writing about the concept of spirituality knowing it would conjure up different thoughts and feelings for everyone. Hesitant, to take a very personal experience and write about it generally so that it could be helpful to most, was  a bit intimidating to me. Actually to be honest up until about 3 years ago, if someone asked me about my spiritual beliefs I pretty much felt ill equip in answering that question. The rewards in fostering this aspect of our lives can be hugely impactful. So naturally, it makes complete sense to take this month’s Keys to Success Insights, regardless but yet respectful of each woman’s spiritual beliefs to share how cultivating the concept of spirituality can be significantly helpful in taking charge of your health and well-being. Undeniably, I get tremendous satisfaction when I rock a presentation and land myself a new client or two. Extrinsic rewards, those tangible benefits of a particular job or activity, which is external to the job itself are undoubtably highly motivating. But what about the power of intrinsic rewards, motivation we derive from an outcome that gives an individual personal satisfaction from a job well done. Such as the feelings of enjoyment, pride, security, strength, empowerment, and vitality. While extrinsic rewards can often provide us the push we need to enhance our lives in order to obtain a reward (i.e. more money, friendships, fitting into size 6 jeans) or avoid a punishment (i.e being fired, having high blood pressure, little to no fun & enjoyment in our lives), research indicates that the staying power is in the intrinsic rewards. Thoughts On Creating New Beginnings

 April 2015 Insights

Spring has sprung! It’s a great time to embrace new beginnings. All around us we witness an awakening of our surroundings, bringing us the perfect climate, literally and figuratively, to create fresh starts and renew our existences. For me spring time screams the inevitability that nothing stays the same. Even though we often feel as if the winter will never end, we suddenly see a budding flower or experience our first warm weather day, reminding us that life is truly cyclical and that all experiences, positive or negative, come to pass. However, unlike the natural ease of the changing seasons, most people don’t strive for new beginnings nor exercise their power to create them. (more…)
