How To Stay Motivated Even During
The Dog Days Of Summer
July 2014 Insights
For most, summer is often a time of the year when we take a step back and put our goals on the back burner. It’s hard to ignore visions of boats, beaches and tall cool drinks. Not to mention the challenge of children being home from school and vacations planned, setting the stage for the perfect scenario of “summertime sabotage”- a condition that sets us back in most aspects of our lives and creates the need for a whole lot of catch up comes September.
In a perfect world, it would be great if we all could just take off for two months and pick up where we last left off without compromising levels of productivity and drive. But since we all know that isn’t likely to happen, I plan to take this month’s Keys To Success Insights and share a few of my favorite suggestions on how to keep our “mojo” going even during the dog days of summer. Six Foundational Strategies to Achieving Life Balance
June 2013 Insights
Looks like last month’s post struck a cord with a number of you! It seems many women share the feeling that they are chasing their tails in pursuit to “having it all”. Most women agree, balance is one of the greatest goals in their lives but it appears to be as elusive as it is desirable. However, it doesn’t have to be that way, as I shared in last month’s insights, it really just boils down to three main elements. First, and foremost is understanding and respecting each and every important aspect in your life (addressed last month). Second, is obtaining the right tools and strategies to navigate those aspects in your life and third is having the personal/emotional buy-in to succeed in them. In this month’s Keys to Success Insights I will share six common strategies that all women need to consider in order to enhance greater life balance. (more…)

Assessing How You Spend Time And Your Skills To Manage It
January 2013 Insights
Happy New Year everyone! Based on the feedback I received from last months Keys to Success insights, many of you took advantage of the Values Clarification exercise I made available to you on my website. It seems a lot of you made the connection to managing your time more effectively by considering what is truly important to you. I personally have my top 5 core values written on a sticky note I keep attached to my computer. I refer to it often to help make both big and small decisions in my life. But more importantly I check in with it weekly, to make sure my values are in alignment with how I allocate my time daily. This helps to provide me with the emotional buy-in I sometimes need to motivate me to stay on task. Introspectively this makes sense but we can’t dismiss the other essential ingredients also important to successful time management. (more…)

Knowing Your Core Values
December 2012 Insights
I hear it all the time, “there are just not enough hours in a day”. “How can I get it all done” or “I can’t seem to get it all done”. I completely understand, there are days when I actually feel winded, like I’m running a marathon and I need to catch my breath. Most women would agree that time is the #1 roadblock in their lives preventing them from greater fulfillment. Our dedication and commitment to others often overrides our ability to take care of ourselves-creating obstacles with our work, relationships, health & well-being, fun &enjoyment, and really just balancing our lives as a whole. I’m not going to pretend it’s easy to manage all that we do in a day and still consider our own self-development. However, I do believe there is a more effective way to live our lives and although that is different for every woman, there are two common elements every woman should consider to enhance their management of time and ultimately achieve greater success.
