The other day someone asked me, “what’s one of the best decisions you’ve ever made?” Without hesitation, I said becoming a women’s leadership coach. Now of course I’ve made some other instrumental decisions in my life, like marrying one of the greatest people I know and then of course creating a family with him. There was also the decision of welcoming a 75lb dog into our lives and I have to admit purchasing a Keurig coffee machine rates rather high on good decisions made. However, the question in and of itself- “What’s One of the Best Decision I’ve Ever Made”- really got me thinking and why was leadership coaching the first thing I blurted out? (more…)

Ever hear the expression “Getting Older Happens. Getting Wiser Is Optional”? Well, I’ve come to realize that there’s a whole lot of truth to that statement. Let’s face it, there’s no getting around the reality of aging and all the challenges it comes with but as it has been wisely said we really shouldn’t complain about getting older as it is a privilege many are denied. Hmm, maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to grip about those wrinkles and grey hairs after all. Growing old gracefully can be a choice. So often we ask each other “how are you?”. It’s a nice way to greet people and gives us the opportunity to catch up on our friends, family’s and acquaintance’s lives. But in this month’s Keys to Success Insights I want to take it a step further and ask all of you HOW ARE YOU TRULY? Not only in general but more specifically.

As women, we are naturally nurturing and caring towards our children, mates and other loved ones. Our dedication and commitment to others can often override our abilities to take care of ourselves; creating obstacles with our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. So in this month’s newsletter I’m asking you to take some time for yourself and consider the questions I have attached below and truly assess HOW ARE YOU? (more…)
